I offer both general and addiction psychiatry services.
If you are interested in beginning treatment, please contact me to set up a free 5-10 minute phone conversation to discuss what you are seeking. If you get my voicemail, please leave a few dates/times when you are available to talk. If we decide during our phone conversation that my practice might be a good fit for you, we will schedule an in-person consultation. After the initial consultation, I’ll provide you with my recommendations for treatment which may include working with me or working with another provider/treatment center that specializes in what you need in case I don’t.
******* Given recent health concerns due to Corona Virus, especially in the State of Washington, for patients rather been seen via Tele Psychiatry services, we do offer that option at this time. You can call my office and we can let you know how we can schedule a TeleHealth Appointments. Please note that fees are the same as face-to-face appointments. We recommend for you to contact your insurance to make sure that Out of Network Services would be reimbursable for you.*******
The initial consultation typically lasts 1 hour, which includes reviewing an extensive history, formulating a diagnosis, and discussing various treatment options – including lifestyle changes, psychotherapy, and medication options. If indicated, medications can be prescribed on the first visit. The frequency of follow-up is based on the needs of the individual: for someone recently hospitalized, the next follow-up session could take place the following week. In contrast, someone on a stable dose of medications, without any pressing issues, could manage with appointments every couple of months.
Prior to your first in-person appointment, please refer to the New Patients page for a list of forms that need to be printed and filled out. Alternatively, you may arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the forms in person.
