We offer TMS Services

We provide patients in Vancouver and the surrounding areas the latest in depression treatments. We are pleased to be able to offer NeuroStar® TMS Therapy to our patients.

NeuroStar Advanced Therapy® uses a patented iron core coil technology to produce a highly focused MRI-strength pulsed magnetic field that, when directed to the left prefrontal cortex, balances the activity in the emotional centers of the brain which are underactive in patients with mood symptoms.

About Our Services

  • Depression

Treatment for Depression & Anxiety

Depression makes you feel like you are walking alone, unable to enjoy time with loved ones and at times feeling disconnected from others as it’s quite difficult even for yourself to explain or understand why you feel so empty inside.

  • TMS Treatment

NeuroStar Advanced Therapy®
TMS for depression and OCD is a non-invasive treatment which can stimulate the brain region responsible for symptoms and generate significant improvement. TMS delivers electrical stimulation to the brain.
  • Esketamine Treatment

SPRAVATO (Intranasal Esketamine)

SPRAVATO (Intranasal Esketamine) is the new FDA approved treatment for Treatment-resistant Depression indicated for patients who have failed two adequate trials of other antidepressant medications. To learn more about this treatment.

TMS Therapy is the Right Choice

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) uses a targeted pulsed magnetic field, similar to what is used in an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine. While the patient is awake and alert, NeuroStar TMS Therapy stimulates areas of the brain that are underactive in depression.

TMS Therapy Highlights

  • Non Invasive

Non invasive and non systemic. The only side effect is the possible minor irritation of the scalp.

  • 19-37 Minutes

Each treatments typically lasts between 19-37 minutes. The variation depends on your diagnosis.

  • Awake and Alert

You will be fully awake and alert. You can read or watch TV and return to work after your treatment with no restrictions.

  • 30-36 Treatments

A typical treatment course consists of 5 treatments per week over a 4-6 week period.

We Build Relationships

I was severely depressed over a period of three years. I tried several antidepressants but nothing really seemed to work. I had a severe allergic reaction. My family was very poorly impacted by the whole problem of my depression. By the end of the TMS treatment, things were better than I could have imagined. After that sixth week, I was so excited that my life was starting to resume. It could actually get better and that I had more to look forward to.

During that time, it was probably the darkest time in my life. I was sad and miserable all the time. Before when I was going through depression, I felt hopeless. Since TMS, my perspective on life has been so positive that I know there is hope.
